The third round determined the teams advancing to the Round of 16, and some great matchups are coming up.

Euro
Switzerland 1-1 Germany
Germany and Switzerland drew, securing first and second place, respectively.
In the 3rd minute, Kroos took a corner, Havertz headed it, and Sommer saved it comfortably.
In the 17th minute, Wirtz passed to Andrich, who took a shot from outside the box, and thanks to Sommer’s mistake, it went in, but the goal was disallowed because Musiala had committed a foul earlier in the play.
Switzerland opened the scoring in the 28th minute. Freuler received the ball in the box and crossed it to Ndoye, who found the back of the net.
In the 30th minute, Ndoye outran Rüdiger and shot from the edge of the box, with the ball just missing the post.
In the 5th minute of the second half, Wirtz gave a beautiful pass to Musiala, who turned and shot, but Sommer saved it. On the rebound, Gündoğan was free but shot wide.
In the 37th minute, Kroos took a free kick into the box, Sommer punched it poorly, Sané got the rebound in the box but shot wide.
In the 39th minute, Vargas went one-on-one with Neuer and scored, but he was offside, and the goal was disallowed.
In the 43rd minute, Vargas passed to Xhaka, who shot from the edge of the box, and Neuer made a spectacular save, sending it for a corner.
Germany didn’t give up and equalized in the 47th minute. Raum crossed, and Füllkrug headed it into the corner, leaving Sommer with no chance.
Germany will face Denmark in the Round of 16, while Switzerland will play against Italy.

Scotland 0-1 Hungary
Hungary won against Scotland in the last minute and finished 3rd with 3 points but did not secure a spot in the Round of 16.
In a match with few chances in the first half, the best opportunity came in the 41st minute. From a free-kick, Szoboszlai delivered it into the box, Orban was unmarked and headed it against the crossbar.
In the 31st minute of the second half, Szoboszlai made a brilliant individual play, getting past two defenders, crossed it, and the defense cleared for a corner.
In the 45th minute, Schafer advanced quickly, shot from inside the box, and Gunn saved it for a corner.
Hungary pressed hard and had chances with Szoboszlai and Nagy in stoppage time.
In the 47th minute, Csoboth broke into the box unmarked and hit the post.
Hungary clinched the win in the last play of the game, in the 55th minute. Sallai received in the box, went to the byline, and crossed for Csoboth to strike first-time and score.
Hungary and Scotland are out of Euro 2024.

Albania 0-1 Spain
Spain had already qualified and fielded a reserve team against Albania, who could qualify with a win.
In the 12th minute, Jesús Navas crossed into the box, and Merino’s header was saved by Strakosha.
Spain opened the scoring in the 13th minute. Olmo found a good pass to Ferran Torres, who curled it in. The ball hit the post and went into the net.
In the 45th minute, Asllani unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box, and Raya saved it in two attempts.
In the 2nd minute of the second half, Grimaldo crossed, Joselu struck a beautiful volley, and the ball narrowly missed the post.
In the 19th minute, Albania surprised with a quick free-kick. Broja shot first-time from inside the box, and Raya made a good save.
In the 32nd minute, Asllani pulled the ball to his left foot and shot dangerously from outside the box.
In the 47th minute, Asllani took a free kick into the box, and after a scramble, Broja shot but Raya held onto the ball.
Spain finished the group stage with a perfect record and will face Georgia in the Round of 16.
Albania earned just 1 point, did not advance, but made their country proud.

Croatia 1-1 Italy
A draw was enough for Italy to advance, while Croatia needed a win to progress.
Italy scored in the last play, securing their spot in the Round of 16 and leaving Croatia behind.
In the 5th minute, Sučić took a powerful shot from outside the box, and Donnarumma made a great save, sending it for a corner.
In the 21st minute, Calafiori crossed into the box, and Retegui’s header was dangerous.
In the 27th minute, Barella’s cross was perfect, Bastoni headed unmarked near the small box, and Livaković made a spectacular save.
In the 7th minute of the second half, Kramarić attempted a shot, and the ball hit Frattesi’s arm. After a VAR review, the referee awarded a penalty.
In the 9th minute, Modrić took the penalty, and Donnarumma saved Italy. However, Modrić quickly redeemed himself and scored for Croatia. Sučić crossed into the box, Budimir flicked it, Donnarumma saved, but on the rebound, Modrić did not miss, becoming the oldest player to score in the Euro.
Italy pressed hard and equalized in the 53rd minute. Calafiori made a brilliant individual play and passed to Zaccagni, who struck first-time into the top corner, securing Italy’s qualification.
Italy will face Switzerland in the Round of 16.

France 1-1 Poland
France drew with Poland and finished second in the group.
In the 6th minute, Zieliński took a first-time shot from outside the box, and Maignan held onto the ball.
In the 11th minute, Dembélé went to the byline and crossed, the ball reached Theo Hernández on the other side. The full-back shot hard, and Skorupski made a good save.
In the 19th minute, Kanté led a fast counter-attack, passed to Dembélé, who shot from close range, and Skorupski made another great save.
In the 34th minute, Zieliński crossed into the box, and Lewandowski’s header was dangerous, close to the post.
In the 42nd minute, Mbappé played a one-two with Barcola, shot, and Skorupski saved with his fingertips.
In the 45th minute, Barcola backheeled to Mbappé, who tried to finish from a tight angle, and Skorupski saved for a corner.
In the 10th minute of the second half, Kiwior fouled Dembélé in the box. Mbappé took the penalty and opened the scoring for France.
In the 30th minute, Upamecano fouled Świderski in the box, and after a VAR review, the referee awarded a penalty. Lewandowski’s first attempt was saved by Maignan, but the goalkeeper had moved off his line, and the Polish striker scored on the second attempt.
With the draw, France finished second in Group D and will face Belgium in the Round of 16.
Poland earned just 1 point and did not advance.

Netherlands 2×3 Austria
Austria pulled off a surprise, defeating the Netherlands and securing the top spot in Group D.
The Austrians took the lead in the 6th minute with an own goal by Malen. Prass received the ball freely on the left and passed it into the middle, where Malen tried to clear it but ended up scoring into his own net.
In the 14th minute, Gakpo passed to Reijnders, who was unmarked in the box but missed the shot, sending it wide.
In the 23rd minute, Malen found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper but missed, squandering a great chance.
Just 2 minutes into the second half, Xavi Simons launched a quick counterattack and passed to Gakpo, who skillfully dribbled past the defense and placed a shot into the net, leveling the score.
In the 14th minute, Grillitsch crossed the ball, and Schmid headed it in with a diving header. De Vrij tried to clear it off the line, but the ball had already crossed, putting Austria back in the lead.
The Netherlands equalized again. In the 30th minute, Gakpo sent a cross into the box, Weghorst flicked it on, and Depay struck a powerful shot into the top corner.
Austria was undeterred and sought the win. In the 35th minute, Baumgartner made a brilliant pass to Sabitzer, who smashed it in with his left foot, securing the three points for Austria.
Austria finished in 1st place and will face Turkey in the round of 16.
The Netherlands, as the best third-placed team, will play against Romania in the next round.

Denmark 0x0 Serbia
Denmark played to a goalless draw with Serbia, finishing in 2nd place in Group C.
In the 16th minute, Mæhle crossed into the box, and Bah headed the ball wide. The Danish players appealed for a penalty, but the referee waved play on.
In the 21st minute, Denmark regained possession in the attacking third, and Eriksen shot towards the corner, forcing a save from Rajković.
In the 13th minute of the second half, Mitrović received a pass from Tadić in the box, scored, but was offside, and the goal was disallowed.
With the draw, Serbia ended up in last place in the group and did not advance, while Denmark will face Germany in the round of 16.

England 0x0 Slovenia
England drew another lackluster match but topped Group C, while Slovenia finished third and advanced to the next stage.
In the 20th minute, England executed a good triangular play, with Rice passing to Foden, who crossed for Saka to tap in. However, the goal was ruled out as Foden was offside.
In the 35th minute, Foden took a free kick, and Oblak made a tough save look easy.
With few scoring chances, England only threatened during the second half’s stoppage time. First, Palmer’s weak shot was saved by Oblak, and then Arnold shot over the bar.
England will face Slovakia, and Slovenia will play against Portugal in the round of 16.

Slovakia 1×1 Romania
Slovakia and Romania drew and both secured spots in the round of 16.
In the 11th minute, Rațiu played a one-two, entered the box, and shot, with Dúbravka parrying the ball and Hagi shooting over on the rebound.
In the 24th minute, Kucka crossed into the box, and Duda scored with a powerful header to open the scoring.
Romania quickly responded. In the 34th minute, Hagi was brought down in the box, and the referee awarded a penalty. Marin converted it confidently to level the match.
In the 15th minute of the second half, Drăguș received the ball in the box, shifted to his right, and shot just wide.
In the 20th minute, Haraslín cut inside the defender, entered the box, and shot close to the post.
The draw was favorable for both teams as they secured their places in the next round.
Slovakia will face England, while Romania will play against the Netherlands.

Ukraine 0x0 Belgium
The goalless draw benefited the Belgians, who finished second in the group with 4 points. Ukraine had the same points as Belgium but ended up last in the group due to goal difference.
In the 7th minute, De Bruyne made a great pass to Lukaku, putting him one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but Trubin made the save.
In the 33rd minute, De Bruyne took a surprising free kick, shooting towards the goal instead of crossing, hitting the side netting.
In the 42nd minute, Ukraine made a good play, and Yaremchuk was one-on-one with the goalkeeper but misjudged his pass attempt.
In the 28th minute, Carrasco played a one-two with Lukaku and shot from the edge of the box, forcing a good save from Trubin.
In the 34th minute, Sudakov advanced well through the middle and passed to Dovbyk, who cut inside and hit the side netting.
In the 38th minute, Malinovskyi attempted a direct corner kick, nearly scoring an Olympic goal, but Casteels made a save on the line.
In the 46th minute, Sudakov made a good individual play, entered the box, but shot weakly, and Casteels saved comfortably.
Belgium will face France in the round of 16, and Ukraine is eliminated.

Georgia 2×0 Portugal
Georgia surprised and defeated a mostly reserve Portugal team.
Despite the loss, Portugal retained the group lead, and Georgia advanced as the third-placed team.
Just 2 minutes into the game, Georgia opened the scoring. Portugal lost the ball, Mikautadze advanced through the middle, and passed to Kvaratskhelia, who shot across goal with his left foot, sending the Georgian fans into raptures.
In the 16th minute, Cristiano Ronaldo took a long-range free kick, and Mamardashvili tipped it over for a corner.
In the 30th minute, Portugal regained possession in the attacking third, and João Félix’s shot from the edge of the box went close.
In the 43rd minute, João Félix passed to Palhinha, who placed a shot from outside the box that narrowly missed the post.
In the 47th minute, Pedro Neto’s corner was saved on the line by Mamardashvili.
In the 5th minute of the second half, Kakabadze crossed, Mikautadze missed it, but Kvaratskhelia was alone and shot poorly, allowing Diogo Costa to save easily.
In the 8th minute, João Neves lost the ball in defense, and António Silva fouled Lochoshvili in the box. The referee didn’t initially award a penalty but confirmed it after a VAR review. Mikautadze converted, scoring his second and becoming the top scorer of Euro 2024.
In the 26th minute, Georgia executed a beautiful counterattack, with Chakvetadze entering the box and shooting over the bar.
In the 40th minute, Mikautadze made a great pass to Davitashvili in the box. The number 9 shot into the side netting.
In the 46th minute, João Félix crossed into the box, Semedo shot, and Mamardashvili made a great save.
Portugal will face Slovenia, and Georgia will play against Spain in the round of 16.

Czech Republic 1×2 Turkey
Turkey defeated the Czech Republic with a stoppage-time goal, securing second place in the group, while the Czechs finished last.
In the 2nd minute, Barák set up Provod, who tried from outside the box. The ball deflected off the defense, and Günok pushed it away for a corner.
In the 20th minute, Barák was sent off, completely changing the game.
In the 45th minute, Provod led a counterattack and passed to Jurásek, who went one-on-one with Günok, who made a great save.
In the 6th minute of the second half, Yılmaz made a beautiful run down the right wing and crossed. Yıldız was blocked on his first attempt, and his second shot was saved by the goalkeeper Staněk. Turkey kept the ball, and Yüksek passed to Çalhanoğlu, who stylishly scored.
The Czech Republic equalized in the 21st minute. Coufal took a long throw into the box, Günok mishandled it, Chorý shot, and Akaydin cleared off the line. Souček hammered in the rebound.
Despite being a man down, the Czech Republic pushed forward in search of a winner.
In the 49th minute, Turkey launched a counterattack, Tosun made an individual run, and fired a shot into the corner, securing second place for Turkey.
Turkey will face Austria in the round of 16.
