The Italian teams that have debts with the tax authorities
One of the various problems that football clubs will have to face in this month of December is the exposure with the tax authorities regarding the taxes suspended in 2022. There are several clubs that have important exposures with the tax authorities, through tax bills issued by the Revenue Agency, the value of which should be around half a billion euros.
For this reason, the request for the repayment of these debts was made by the clubs, through the president of the League Lorenzo Casini, who in the Senate Budget Commission, asked that in addition to paying the debt in installments, penalties and interest should not be paid. In the request, Casini underlines how the pandemic has created many problems, starting with the lack of receipts from the presence of the public and the removal of sponsors who guaranteed revenue given for sure.
The president of the Football League is the spokesperson for a system that is leaking from many sides and that cannot find a balance between costs and revenues. Inter administrator Beppe Marotta, just today in an interview, said that football players should be treated as actors and that in this way, the tax burden for companies would be considerably reduced.
