Calcio Deal Review About The Squad
Dorival Júnior had a great start at the head of Tricolor, he was 11 games undefeated with seven wins and four draws, however, he comes from two defeats, against Sport for the Copa do Brasil, in which the team was classified, and Grêmio for the Brasileirão. In this way, from his arrival, the commander prioritized fixing the defense, which had been conceding many goals, started using players who did not usually play, such as Marcos Paulo, Beraldo and Gabriel Neves and increased the confidence of the squad.
The team usually plays in the 4-2-3-1, with Luciano playing as a midfielder who touches Calleri a lot, often forming an attacking duo during the matches. In defense, the young Beraldo established himself as an absolute starter, and is one of the main players of the Dorival era, so at just 19 years old he seems to have the experience of a veteran.
The ball starts with the two defenders and the first defensive midfielder (usually Gabriel Neves), who form a line of three, while the full-backs join in the line ahead so that several players can gather around the ball, creating numerical superiority, so they work with quick touches and tables in the midfield to break the line and, later, equip the attack with quality.
Finally, it can be said that Dorival’s work changed the way we imagined that São Paulo’s performance in the Brasileirão would be, so Calcio Deal’s expectation is that Tricolor will fight for a vacancy in Libertadores.
