Saudi Arabia new frontier of football
The main Arab country has decided to make itself known to the world, not only with oil but also with football, through massive investments, which aim to bring the best footballers to the country, especially the most famous ones and consequently also several internationally renowned coaches .
Last year they convinced Cristiano Ronaldo to move to their country for the sum of 200 million, also with the aim of making him the country’s ambassador to the world. Instead they failed to convince Messi, despite having offered him a contract of 500 million to move to Ryad. The Argentine world champion preferred the Florida sun, moving to Inter Milan for a contract worth 40 million a year.
Also as regards the coaches they are aiming strongly and after having brought in Rudi Garcia ex Roma in recent years they are now tempting characters from the bench such as Allegri and Mourinho. In recent days, the Juventus coach has received an offer that speaks of 60 million for three years, figures that are making the Livorno coach think.
Expansion of the Arab market
