The third edition of Milano Football Week 2025 kicked off on Saturday, June 7, with an opening ceremony in Piazza Tre Torri, at the heart of the CityLife district. The event, organized by La Gazzetta dello Sport, runs from June 7 to 15 and celebrates football with a series of meetings, activities, and performances open to all fans.
Opening with football legends
The ceremony featured prominent figures from the world of football. Urbano Cairo, president of RCS MediaGroup, expressed his enthusiasm for the large turnout and the choice of venue. Beside him, La Gazzetta dello Sport’s editor-in-chief Stefano Barigelli highlighted the importance of events that bring the public closer to the football world. Guest of honor Christian “Bobo” Vieri, interviewed by journalist Andrea Elefante, shared thoughts on the Italian national team—coming off a loss to Norway in the World Cup qualifiers—and on Italian football in general, emphasizing the need for continued improvement.
