First half
Bologna got off to a strong start in the first minute with Likogiannis flying to the left and sending off a strong shot that hit the crossbar of the goal defended by Maignan. Bologna tries to impose their game with a strong pressure in midfield but it is Milan who take the lead with Giroud who collects a pass from Reijnders and scores 1-0 for the Rossoneri. Bologna reacts with Ferguson whose shot touches the post.
But in the 20th minute Milan doubled with a strong shot by Pulisic from the edge of the area, nothing to do for Skorupski 2-0 for Pioli’s team. Bologna tries to react but it is always the Rossoneri who are dangerous with the incursions of Rafael Leao on the left well supported by Theo Hernandez. The first half ends with Milan leading by two goals.
Second half
In the second half Thiago Motta tries to make some adjustments in his team, inserting Orsolini on the right and moving Ndoye to the left. Bologna are more bubbly and on several occasions they become dangerous with the Swiss player who, however, fails to put Maignam in difficulty. For their part, Milan, aware of their strength, tries to make the second half go by controlling the Bolognese and responding with Leao, who in some circumstances seemed uncatchable. The endgame will be that of the first half, with Milan defeating Dall’Ara with a score of 2-0
Frosinone – Napoli 1-3
Harroui 7′(Fr) first half, 24′ Politano(Na), 42’Osimhen(Na), 79’Osimhen(Na)
Absolute dominance of the Neapolitans with Osimhen starting the season with a brace. Despite the defeat in the first half we saw a good Frosinone.
Empoli – Verona 0-1
Bonazzoli 75′(Ver)
Verona started well, dominating an Empoli who appeared weak in various areas of the field. In the Scala you can already see the imprint of his new coach Baroni.
Genoa – Fiorentina 1-4
5′ Biraghi (Fi), 11′ Bonaventura (Fi), 40′ Gonzalez (Fi), 56′ Mandragora (Fi), 58′ Biraschi (Ge)
Clear victory for the Italian team, great difficulties for Gilardino’s men who impact Serie A in a negative way.
Inter – Monza 2-0
8’L. Martinez(Int), 76’L. Martinez(Int)
Round result for Inzaghi’s men, with L. Martinez starting his season as a protagonist. A good Monza couldn’t do anything in the face of a precise and determined Inter.
Sassuolo – Atalanta 0-2
83′ De Ketelaere (Ats), 93′ Zortea (Ats)
Deserved victory for the players from Bergamo, with a De Ketelaere in evidence. Sassuolo without Berardi needs to be reviewed, little personality of Dionisi’s men, who appeared in difficulty in every area of the field.
Roma – Salernitana 2-2
17’Belotti(Rm),36’Candreva(Sa),49’Candreva(Sa), 82’Belotti(Rm)
Balanced game with two great protagonists Belotti for the Giallorossi and Candreva for the Campania grenade. Rome to be reviewed especially in midfield, good performance by Paulo Sosa’s men, always careful to counter the most famous opponents.
Lecce – Lazio 2-1
26’Immobile(La),85’Almqyist(Le), 87′ Di Francesco(Le)
Great victory for the Salento team, who in the face of a messy Lazio, especially in the second, managed to overturn the result in the final, with two goals in the space of two minutes.
Udinese – Juventus 0-3
2’Chiesa(Ju), 20’Vlahovic(Ju) rig, 45’+3’Rabiot(Ju)
A clear victory for Allegri’s team, which starts the championship on the right note. Udinese appeared in difficulty throughout the match, Juventus too superior especially in the first half.
Torino – Cagliari 0-0
Balanced game with Ranieri’s men who appeared determined and convinced of being protagonists in this Serie A. The grenades appeared to be still far from being in good condition.
