In modern football, squad value isn’t just about big numbers: it’s a real indicator of a club’s financial health, sporting management quality, and transfer market efficiency. In 2025, Serie A presents both expected and surprising scenarios: the top clubs still lead, but some “smaller” teams have significantly increased their squad values. Let’s take a look at the rankings and which clubs have grown the most.

Inter, Milan and Juventus: confirmed dominance

At the top of the Serie A squad value rankings is Inter, with an estimated total value of around €800 million. The club has done an excellent job in developing talent, blending experience and youth with names like centre-back Bisseck and winger Buchanan gaining ground recently.

Right behind is Milan at €762 million, driven by the continued market value rise of Rafael Leão and Mike Maignan. Despite a slight recent devaluation due to inconsistent seasons, the Rossoneri squad remains one of the richest in Italy.

Third comes Juventus, who has returned to a youth-focused policy with players like Yildiz and Fagioli already showing strong progress. The squad’s total value is currently around €697 million.

Atalanta and Napoli: steady hands and smart scouting

Among the consistently strong clubs are Atalanta (€586 million) and Napoli (€598 million). La Dea continues to shine thanks to elite scouting and the development of talents like Scalvini and Koopmeiners, maintaining competitiveness without over-investing.

Napoli, in a transitional post-title phase, has retained a high squad value thanks to Osimhen, Kvaratskhelia and a group of promising young players.

Surprises: Como, Venezia, and Bologna

The real standout risers in value are Como, Venezia, and Bologna.

Como leads the way with a staggering 27.6% increase in just a few months – from €137 to over €176 million. This comes from smart investments, emerging players like Gabriel Strefezza, and a few experienced leaders.

Venezia posted a 15% increase, relying on a sustainable model with a clear identity. Their young, international squad has been lifted by attacking football and strong development.

Bologna also confirms its growth with a 13.7% squad value rise, reaching nearly €290 million. The club has helped launch talents like Zirkzee, Ferguson, and Calafiori, becoming a talent hub in European football.

Who’s losing value: warning signs for the big teams

Not everything is going up. Milan lost 8.2% of its squad value in the last six months. Juventus is down 3.4%, and even Inter has dropped by 2.6%. These are still high numbers, but they show signs of stagnation or the need for change.

What’s behind it? Aging squads, key departures not yet replaced, and patchy performances.

youth, long-term projects and vision: the key to the future

The clearest message: it’s not just about how much money you have, but how you use it. The clubs that grow are the ones investing in youth, scouting networks, and long-term strategies.

In an increasingly competitive league, those building value from the ground up hold a major strategic advantage. Serie A 2025 proves it more than ever.
