Analyses
After eleven years, Milan returned to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, after an excellent game which confirmed the excellent result of the first leg. Pioli’s team managed to control Tottenham’s attacks throughout the match and fight back blow by blow, on several occasions coming close to the goal they surely would have deserved.
Antonio Conte’s team tried to score at least the goal that would have allowed them to go into extra time, but the Rossoneri didn’t give the Londoners any space to make themselves dangerous. Milan who deservedly flies to the quarterfinals and now could still get some satisfaction in the continuation of the competition.
