Serie A news of the day
Provisions of the sports judge:
The Roma coach Josè Mourinho has been suspended for two days after he was dismissed in yesterday’s match against Cremonese. The motivations of the sports judge are: “For having contested a referee’s decision with vehemence and provocative attitude, reiterating this behavior at the time of the expulsion order and continuing with the same tones at the end of the match”.
Napoli’s left-back Mario Rui was also disqualified for two rounds, with this motivation: “For having, on the 22nd minute of the second half, after falling to the ground following a normal game challenge, with the ball far away, voluntarily hit with a kick a player from the opposing team in the groin.”
Mourinho versus Serra
An investigation has been opened by the federal prosecutor’s office following the statements by Josè Mourinho, on the sentences directed against him by the fourth match official Serra in the Cremonese-Roma match.
According to the Portuguese coach, the fourth official would have addressed him with insulting sentences which would be the cause of his vehement reaction which led to his removal from the bench. According to reports from Ansa, the Giallorossi coach would be verifying whether there might be the conditions for taking legal action against referee Serra belonging to the Turin section.
Transfer Market
Market news is always alive about Juventus, who would have set their sights on the Dutch midfielder of Atalanta Koopmeiners. From what the Gazzetta dello Sport reports, the Percassi club would have set the price for the sale of its midfielder at 50 million, a value considered very high by the Juventus club.
Napoli is working on the renewal of the contracts of several players, primarily that of central defender Kim. Meetings are scheduled for March to extend the contract until 2027 and eliminate the release clause currently set at 50 million. This is because, given the excellent performance of the Korean player, there is a desire to remove several clubs, especially those of the English Premier League, on possible attacks in the transfer market next July.
Close to next July, there is talk of a possible farewell of goalkeeper Handanovic from Inter who would be replaced by Cragno currently in force at Monza.
Also for July, there is a lot of excitement around Lautaro Martinez, who interests several Premier League teams. Inter, which has absolutely no intention of depriving itself of its new captain, is carefully monitoring the movements around its attacker.
Instead, Scamacca could return to Italy, for the West Han striker there could be an interest from Milan, which would be looking for new reinforcements for the attack. And in this regard, we are once again talking about a possible return to Milan of Mauro Icardi precisely in the direction of Milan. For the Argentine striker, whom Galatasaray would like to buy outright from PSG, his entourage is reportedly sending signals to the Rossoneri club for a possible return to Italy.
At Roma, there is talk of an interest from Chelsea for the repurchase of Tammy Abraham, the fixed figure is 80 million. It would be a good deal for the Giallorossi, given that the player was bought two years ago for 4o million.
Day of happiness
Today is a day of happiness for the Cremonese, since yesterday against Roma they achieved their first victory in this championship and gave the gray and red club some hope in the run-up to salvation.
Yesterday the absolute debut in Serie A for the young Argentine midfielder of Juventus Barrenechea, who played from the first minute in the victorious derby against Turin. Surely there couldn’t have been a more exciting match to play his first in the series
A. Pogba returned to the pitch yesterday at Juventus after a long break which had prevented him from participating in the World Cup in Qatar. For Allegri’s team, a fundamental comeback to put their midfield in order and give a further boost to their rise in the standings, after the 15-point penalty due to the capital gains scandal.
