At the 10th minute, Furacão opened the scoring. Vitor Bueno played a low cross, and the young talent Vitor Roque was perfectly positioned to score the first goal of the match.
The São Paulo response was quick, as they equalized at the 18th minute. Luciano played a one-two with Calleri, who back-heeled it. Number 10 attempted the shot, but the ball deflected off the defense and fell to Gabriel Neves, who struck it first-time to level the score.

In the second half, Tricolor turned the game around with a beautiful team play. After a good exchange of passes, Rodriguinho outpaced Madson, reached the byline, and played a low cross to Calleri, who controlled it and passed it to Luciano to strike it into the top corner, leaving Bento with no chance, sealing the final score.

Santos 0x2 Corinthians
In a game that was prematurely ended due to bombs thrown onto the field, Corinthians defeats Santos at Vila Belmiro.
Santos took the field with: João Paulo; João Lucas, Joaquim, Messias, and Gabriel Inocêncio (Lucas Pires); Rodrigo Fernández (Sandry), Dodi (Deivid Washington), and Lucas Lima (Luan Dias); Soteldo (Ângelo), Mendoza, and Marcos Leonardo.
Corinthians: Cássio; Fagner, Gil, Caetano, and Matheus Bidu (Fábio Santos); Roni, Maycon (Giuliano), and Ruan Oliveira (Matheus Araújo); Biro (Adson), Róger Guedes, and Yuri Alberto.
Corinthians started the match stronger and had Yuri Alberto making frequent appearances in the attack. First, at the 4th minute, after a left-wing cross, he headed the ball and forced a great save from João Paulo. Then, at the 13th minute, Fagner made a great play, starting from the defense, served the number 9, who found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper but missed the target.
Corinthians opened the scoring at the 18th minute when Róger Guedes found Ruan Oliveira in the box with a beautiful through pass, and the young player passed it to Yuri Alberto, who found the back of the net.
Santos quickly responded and equalized 3 minutes later, but the goal was disallowed. Mendoza received a low cross from João Lucas and, after a deflection and scramble, beat Cássio on the second attempt. However, the goal was overturned by Leandro Vuaden after VAR intervention, as the ball had touched the Colombian’s arm.
Timão extended their lead at the 27th minute when Ruan Oliveira took a free-kick from the left, and João Lucas deflected it into his own net.
In the second half, at the 7th minute, Mendoza crossed the ball, and Marcos Leonardo headed it, catching Cássio off guard and forcing a good save from the Corinthians goalkeeper.
From then on, Santos tried to narrow the gap with great determination but lacked technique and organization. In the final stretch of the game, the dissatisfaction of the fans became increasingly apparent, and they turned the match into a warzone, throwing dozens of bombs onto the pitch, some of which landed in Cássio’s area without hitting him. Faced with the chaotic situation, the game was ended by Vuaden at around the 44th minute, with Corinthians securing the victory.
With the result, Santos remains in the 13th position, while Corinthians moves out of the relegation zone and occupies the 15th place.
Bahia 1×0 Palmeiras
The fans of Tricolor da Aço went to Fonte Nova and witnessed the streak of 8 winless games come to an end, as well as the breaking of a historical taboo, as they hadn’t defeated Palmeiras at home for over 35 years, since 1988.
Bahia took to the field with: Marcos Felipe, Cicinho, Kanu, Vitor Hugo (Gabriel Xavier), and Jhoanner Chávez, Rezende, Acevedo, Thaciano, and Cauly, Kayky (Daniel), and Vinicius Mingotti (Everaldo).
On the other hand, Verdão started with: Marcelo Lomba, Mayke, Luan, Gustavo Gómez, and Vanderlan, Zé Rafael, Gabriel Menino (Richard Ríos), and Bruno Tabata (Luis Guilherme), Artur (Giovani), Endrick (Flaco López), and Dudu (Breno Lopes).
The game started evenly, but it was Bahia who had more possession in the attacking half, unable to break through the solid Alviverde defense.
Around the 20th minute of the first half, Palmeiras noticed that the Bahia team had difficulties in their ball distribution and began pressing higher up the field with Endrick and Artur pushing forward into the opponent’s area, while Zé, Dudu, and Menino closed in from behind.
The pressure soon paid off, and Palmeiras started creating good chances, both through the center and the flanks. However, they couldn’t convert any of them, due to Kanu’s excellent performance, lack of accuracy, or the outstanding display by goalkeeper Marcos Felipe.
Marcos Felipe even made a blunder when Artur received the ball with speed from the right, dribbled and shot straight towards the goal. Marcos Felipe went for the ball but let it slip underneath him. However, the Tricolor’s goalkeeper managed to recover and caught the ball just before it crossed the goal line. Some argue that VAR made a mistake in upholding the on-field decision as they believe the ball went in.
The second half started with both teams studying each other, but Palmeiras soon resumed their aggressive approach against Bahia’s ball distribution.
There were crosses, long shots, close-range attempts, headers, but nothing could get past Marcos Felipe, who was the standout player of the match.
Palmeiras kept seeking the goal but couldn’t find it until Abel made several changes, which greatly affected Palmeiras, particularly in terms of creativity with the exits of Dudu and Artur, who were the outlets on the flanks.
As a result, Bahia gained more ground, and Palmeiras started to defend deeper, trying to exploit counter-attacks. It was from one of these counter-attacks that Cauly appeared.
The skillful midfielder took the ball and showcased his dribbling abilities until reaching the edge of the box. Luan managed to tackle the ball away from him with a great sliding tackle, but the ball fell to the feet of Daniel, who had entered the game impressively. He unleashed a powerful cross-shot, and Marcelo Lomba made an excellent save, but the ball landed at Thaciano’s feet, who was arriving at the far post. The midfielder fired it into the net and celebrated fervently, making it 1-0 for the Steel Tricolor.
With this victory, Bahia ended their 8-game winless streak and broke the incredible taboo of not defeating Palmeiras at home since 1988. They also collected three crucial points for the continuation of the Brazilian League and climbed to the 14th position. Meanwhile, Palmeiras missed the opportunity to temporarily surpass Botafogo and remains in 2nd position.
Fluminense 1×1 Atlético-MG
Fluminense and Atlético-MG draw in Volta Redonda, with Fábio saving the Tricolor.

Meanwhile, Atlético-MG began with: Everson; Mariano, Bruno Fuchs, Jemerson, Guilherme Arana; Battaglia, Zaracho (Edenílson), Hyoran (Igor Gomes); Pavón (Vargas), Hulk, Paulinho (Patrick).

At the 21st minute, Atlético launched a quick attack with Hulk, who set up Paulinho in a good position inside the box but was once again denied by Fábio.
Galo took the lead through a kind of “ex-player’s curse” as Paulinho crossed the ball, and Guga (former Atlético-MG player) scored an own goal.
Fluminense equalized in the first half’s stoppage time. Ganso delivered a free-kick into the box, the defense cleared it, and Samuel Xavier controlled it before striking it into the corner to level the score.
At the beginning of the second half, Galo continued to press, and just 3 minutes in, Pavón took a placed shot from outside the area, saved by Fábio. Shortly after, Hyoran stole the ball and crossed it to Paulinho, who attempted a back-heel shot, but Fábio made another fantastic save.
At the 18th minute, Mariano took a shot from the right, which Fábio saved once again. On the other hand, Fluminense only posed a threat at the 37th minute through an individual play by Pirani. Cutting inside from the right side, he took a shot, but Everson held onto it firmly.
With the draw, Fluminense remains in the 5th position, while Galo occupies the 4th place.

At the 34th minute, Éder fouled Suárez, received his second yellow card, and was sent off. With that, Grêmio went all out in search of a comeback and equalized 5 minutes later. Suárez passed the ball to Bitello on the right side of the box, the midfielder attempted to cross, but Cavichioli, while trying to clear it, ended up scoring an own goal, committing a blunder.
Grêmio completed the comeback at the 15th minute, as Reinaldo crossed from the left side, and Villasanti managed to anticipate the defenders and score with a header.
The Immortal kept the pressure on, and at the 23rd minute, Suárez combined with Reinaldo, entered the box, and struck a low shot to increase the lead.
Finally, at the 30th minute, Suárez showcased a brilliant individual play, dribbling past the defender, entering the box, and hitting the post for the second time.
With the victory, Grêmio climbs to the 3rd position, while América remains in the relegation zone in the 18th place.

At the 10th minute, Bruno Gomes hit the crossbar with a volley from outside the box, and at the 29th minute, Jamerson took a skillful free-kick that narrowly missed the target. Cuiabá 0x1 Botafogo
Dourado received Fogão at Arena Pantanal and did everything to secure their first home victory in Brasileirão 2023. They played very well but lacked precision in their finishing, allowing the Rio de Janeiro club to take all three points after a penalty goal by top scorer Tiquinho Soares. Botafogo’s win was the first in their history against a team from Mato Grosso in Brasileirão.
Cuiabá lined up with: Walter, Matheus Alexandre, Marllon, Alan Empereur, and Rikelme, Raniele (Ronald Lopes), Denilson (Cappelini), and Fernando Sobral (Filipe Augusto), Jonathan Cafu (Quagliata), Isidro Pitta, and Wellington Silva (Iury Castilho).
Meanwhile, the league leaders Fogão fielded: Lucas Perri, Rafael, Adryelson (Philipe Sampaio), Victor Cuesta, and Hugo, Danilo Barbosa (Gustavo Sauer), Marlon Freitas, and Tchê Tchê, Júnior Santos (Matías Segovia), Tiquinho Soares (Matheus Nascimento), and Victor Sá (Luis Henrique).
Dourado started the game taking control of the actions, with Botafogo occasionally finding opportunities on the left but failing to threaten Cuiabá, who were solid defensively and making good movements, particularly on the wings. Rikelme made strong contributions in the buildup and finishing of plays, coming close to scoring around the 9th minute after a beautiful cross from Jonathan Cafu. Additionally, Isidro Pitta attacked the spaces well, helping to unlock the defense of the Rio de Janeiro club.
The entire first half belonged to Cuiabá, who struggled with their finishing and that final touch. Dourado was playing better than the league leaders but seemed to miss their top scorer, Deyverson, who was serving a suspension.
The second half started in the same way, with Cuiabá mostly creating and having dangerous attempts on goal but struggling to hit the target. However, whenever the ball headed towards the goal, the excellent and promising Lucas Perri did his job and denied them.
You know that old and annoying saying, “if you don’t score, you’ll concede,” and that’s exactly what happened. After Segovia recovered the ball in the defensive half, the midfield found a beautiful through pass to Luis Henrique. The winger controlled the ball, attempted to dribble past goalkeeper Walter, and drew the penalty.
Tiquinho calmly stepped up to the spot, observed Walter’s movement, and calmly sent the giant goalkeeper the wrong way to score. It was 1-0 to Fogão, Tiquinho’s 9th goal in Brasileirão 2023. Cuiabá tried to mount a comeback but failed to breach Lucas Perri’s goal.
With the victory, Fogão remains in 1st place, extending their lead to 5 points over second-placed Palmeiras. On the other hand, Dourado’s good run of 5 undefeated matches came to an end, leaving the team in 16th position, just 1 point above the relegation zone.
Vasco 0x1 Goiás
Under immense pressure, the Gigante da Colina (nickname for Vasco da Gama) hosted Goiás at São Januário, fully aware of the importance of the result. They gave their all on the field but ended up being defeated by Esmeraldino (nickname for Goiás).
Vasco started the game with: Léo Jardim, Pumita Rodríguez (Figueiredo), Miranda (Orellano), Léo Pelé, and Lucas Piton, Zé Gabriel, Matheus Carvalho (Erick Marcus), and Marlon Gomes (Pedro Raul), Alex Teixeira, and Ryan (Gabriel Pec).
On the other hand, Goiás fielded: Tadeu, Maguinho, Lucas Halter, Bruno Melo, and Sander, Willian Oliveira, Zé Ricardo (Sidimar), Morelli (Matheusinho), and Julián Palacios, Diego Gonçalves (Lucão), and Matheus Peixoto (Apodi).
Vasco knew the importance of the result and started the game imposing their rhythm. However, Goiás defended aggressively and whenever possible, halted Vasco’s attacks with fouls, resulting in numerous set pieces for Vasco. In one of those instances, Andrey Santos scored a headed goal, but VAR intervened and ruled it offside.
The disallowed goal did not dampen Vasco’s intensity. On the contrary, the team continued to punish Goiás’ defense with long-range shots, close-range attempts, crosses, and even a shot from Marlon Gomes that hit the post, but the ball wouldn’t go in.
Tadeu had a masterful performance and was one of the standout players in the match. In the first half, Goiás even scored a goal through Lucas Halter after a free-kick by Sander, but VAR once again intervened and ruled it offside.
The second half started more calmly, but the Gigante da Colina (Vasco) heated up and squandered multiple chances. Then, at the 27th minute, Morelli received the ball from the left, cut inside, and shot from the edge of the box. The ball deflected off Pumita, leaving Léo Jardim with no chance to save it. It was 1-0 to Goiás, much to the despair of Vasco’s supporters.
Vasco still had excellent goal-scoring opportunities, but they all ended up in the hands and feet of the colossal Tadeu (Goiás’ goalkeeper).
With the defeat, the crisis significantly worsened at São Januário (Vasco’s stadium). In fact, after the match, Coach Barbieri lost his position as Vasco’s manager. The team now sits in 19th place with only 6 points, while Goiás climbed to the 17th position and is just one point away from escaping the relegation zone.

At the 39th minute, Juninho Capixaba unleashed a powerful strike from outside the box, and Matheus Cunha made a spectacular save. In the resulting corner, Lucas Evangelista took the kick, Eduardo Santos outjumped Thiago Maia, and found the back of the net.
In the second half, the home team continued to dominate and extended their lead at the 3rd minute. Henry Mosquera showcased a brilliant individual play, evading the defender and unleashing a powerful shot into the corner.
Flamengo had their only dangerous opportunity at the 11th minute when Wesley received the ball on the right wing and passed it towards Pedro, who let it through to Arrascaeta, who struck the ball with precision, but it hit the post.
Bragantino’s third goal came from Alerrandro, the striker capitalized on the rebound from Evangelista’s header that hit the crossbar. Lastly, to seal the emphatic victory, Henry Mosquera stormed into the box from the left side, evaded two defenders, and scored the fourth goal for Massa Bruta, concluding the match.
With the thrashing, Bragantino climbs to the 9th position, while Flamengo remains in 4th place.
